Construction: Made from reinforced porcelain, fired twice at 1200 to 1400 degrees Celsius for a dense, durable structure.

Color: The pearl white finish is achieved through a third firing at a lower temperature of 650 to 800 degrees Celsius, using a metal oxidation technique that creates a pearl-like iridescent effect when light hits the surface. The deep blue color comes from a cobalt oxide glaze, fired a second time at 1280 to 1350 degrees Celsius, a process that places this piece in a premium finishing category.
